Wynne is one of Hip-Hop’s most dynamic and distinctive rising voices. Born Sina Wynne Holwerda in 1997, she grew up an outcast in Lake Oswego, Oregon—a suburb of Portland—and found her calling in rap at the age of nine. Studying the greats and sharpening her skills through national cyphers, Wynne built a reputation early on as a lyrical prodigy. Drawing inspiration from icons like Jay-Z, J Dilla, and Foxy Brown, as well as contemporary trailblazers such as SZA and Drake, she went viral multiple times as a teen for her technical precision and commanding presence—earning co-signs from legends including Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Twista, and Wyclef Jean.
At 21, Wynne graduated college with a degree in music and social justice before releasing her debut mixtape If I May.., featuring production from Hit-Boy, DJ Dahi, and Sounwave, and collaborations with J.I.D, Mahalia, and hometown hero Damian Lillard. The project led to a sold-out tour with EarthGang and Mick Jenkins in early 2020. Over the next few years, she experimented sonically alongside Dreamville producer Christo, dropped a string of standout singles including the viral hit “Look At You,” and earned recognition from Billboard as its July 2023 “Rookie of the Month.” Her 2023 EP Some Like It Hot amassed millions of streams, landed across key editorial playlists, and powered her first headlining “Hot On Their Heels” tour—culminating in a sold-out hometown show at Portland’s Wonder Ballroom.
Wynne has continued to prove her creative range and staying power. She starred in Red Bull’s Spiral cypher series alongside Chinese Kitty and Lay Bankz and released a wave of confident, sharp-edged singles and visuals, including “Cut & Paste” featuring WowGr8 of EarthGang, “Dog In Me,” “Rug Burn,” and “Bad Girl” featuring Conductor Williams.
Her 2025 mixtape SAY WYNNE marks her boldest and most collaborative era yet, featuring Damian Lillard (aka Dame D.O.L.L.A.) and Tinizee. Blending introspection, swagger, and West Coast soul, the project captures Wynne at her most assured—an artist in full command of her story and sound. With every release, she continues to redefine what it means to be an independent powerhouse—cementing her place as one of rap’s most exciting new forces and inviting the world to witness her rise in real time.
