Multi-platinum selling global superstar Khalid, who was named one of TIME’s Most Influential People of 2019, has taken the world by storm since his first single, the RIAA-certified diamond “Location” (released right before his high school graduation) exploded onto the scene leading to a major label deal with Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records followed by the release of his debut album, the certified 4x platinum American Teen. His sophomore album Free Spirit, released to critical acclaim in 2019, was declared a New York Times “Critic’s Pick” and was called “superb” by the Associated Press. The album, which has been certified 2x platinum, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and features the GRAMMY-nominated multi-format #1 single “Talk.” Khalid, who has been called a “pop prodigy” by Rolling Stone, has been streamed globally over 35.6 billion times across all partners, has been nominated for seven GRAMMYs, and has won numerous awards including six Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, and an MTV Video Music Award, among others. He was honored at the 71st Annual BMI Pop Awards with the Champion Award. He’s collaborated with some of music’s biggest stars including his #1 singles “Love Lies” (with Normani) and “Eastside” (with Halsey and Benny Blanco) as well as Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, and more.

In 2020, he was named the youngest artist to surpass 15 billion streams on Spotify alone and was named BMI’s Pop Songwriter of the Year. To close out 2021, Khalid released his Scenic Drive tape which he describes as a companion piece to his 2018 EP Sun City. Khalid and Marshmello teamed up again on their 2022 summer hit “Numb,” making this the artist’s second collaboration following their 6x platinum smash hit “SILENCE” in 2017. In 2023, Khalid was featured on the official soundtrack for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie and joined Ed Sheeran in select cities across North America on his “+ – = ÷ x Tour.” His 2024 third album ‘Sincere’ showcased Khalid’s evolution as an artist and person and explores the all-too-relatable feelings of growing up.

On October 2025, Khalid ushered in a bold new era with his fourth studio ‘album after the sun goes down’ (Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records), a 17-track collection exploring themes of love, self-discovery, openness, and freedom. Executive produced by ILYA (Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith), the album features contributions from an all-star lineup including Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser (Addison Rae), Oscar Görres (Troye Sivan), Ryan Tedder (Beyoncé, Tate McRae), Rodney Jerkins (Destiny’s Child, Lady Gaga), Julia Michaels (Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber), and Michael Pollack (Miley Cyrus, Maroon 5). With standout tracks like “out of body” and “in plain sight”—praised by Rolling Stone as “infectious” and Billboard for its “top-tier dance production and casual excellence”—the project marks a radiant new chapter for Khalid as he reclaims his voice and creative freedom after the sun goes down.
